TAO LAII STORY

In the early 2030s, the great cities of Second Life became oppressive megacities dominated by surveillance, corruption, and conflict. As society grew increasingly dehumanized, a handful of wandering souls searching for meaning crossed paths and set out together in search of a place where something more human could be rebuilt.

After a long journey into the forgotten lands of Asia, they discovered an abandoned cliffside village slowly reclaimed by a lush tropical jungle. Settling among its ruins, they restored the village and built a new community founded on self-sufficiency, mutual aid, and respect for nature.

Thus, Tao Laii was born: a free and autonomous colony that, over the decades, evolved into a peaceful haven where tradition and modernity coexist in harmony. Here, technology serves everyday life without disrupting the balance between people and their environment.

Yet beneath its serenity lies constant vigilance. The inhabitants have never forgotten the Other World they left behind. To safeguard the colony's fragile balance, the Keepers watch from the shadows, while a protocol governs the arrival of newcomers. For although Tao Laii is a refuge, no one has forgotten the hardships endured to build a better world.
